Naked Raygun and Hot Water Music will do a pair of shows together at House of Blues Chicago in early January 2009.
The rather influential pair of punks will be joined by the Copyrights and Shot Baker on the first date, and the Methadones and the Arrivals on the second date. You can scope the clip here. The song comes from Alone II: The Home Recordings Of Rivers Cuomo, set for release by Geffen this coming Tuesday, November 25th. Volume 1 was released late last year. |

Naples, FL folk-punks Fake Problems have signed with SideOneDummy.
The band will issue their label debut and sophomore full-length, It's Great To Be Alive, on February 17th, 2009. You can stream a new song, "The Dream Team," at their label band page. The song will also appear on a 7" of the same name, out January 20th. Fake Probs' last proper studio album was 2007's How Far Our Bodies Go on Sabot, though in the interim they also released the Viking Wizard Eyes, Wizard Full of Lies 7" / free digital EP, with their Evil Knievel tribute, How Do You Spell Hero (E-V-E-L), due out as a 12" EP next week. |

Nightmare Of You has rolled out yet another new song, this time titled "Eustacia Vye." It's available for streaming on their MySpace page, with lyrics here.
The band will soon release a double LP containing vinyl versions of both 2005's self-titled debut full-length (EastWest / The Bevonshire Label) and 2007's Bang! EP (The Bevonshire Label). They'll also soon release a split 7" on Run For Cover with This Is Hell. |

Andrew Bird has announced a month's worth of tour dates for next year, with Loney Dear accompanying in support.
Dosh will take Loney Dear's spot on the first date, at New York City's Carnegie Hall. Bird will release his next album, Noble Beast, January 27th, 2009 on Fat Possum. He released the Soldier On EP earlier this year on Grimsey, and prior to that, 2007's Armchair Apocrypha on Fat Possum. Loney Dear will be supporting Dear John, coincidentally due out the same day as Noble Beast--but on Polyvinyl. The Dangerous Summer have entered Valencia Studios with producer Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, I Am Ghost, Gwen Stacy) to record their debut full-length.
The album is slated for a 2009 release on Hopeless, following up last year's If You Could Only Keep Me Alive EP.
