Utah-based rockers The Used are back in the studio recording their fourth full-length studio album. According to a Myspace bulletin sent out by the band, a finish line is in sight and they estimate another three or four weeks until they're done recording. The album is tentatively scheduled for a spring release with a tour to follow.

Triple Crown Records pop-punk act Fight Fair were involved in a van accident on Friday in Northern Oregon. The San Diego-based band were on their way to a string of shows in Washington. All the members are safe, but they're currently stranded in Oregon.A statement on the band's MySpace page reads: "Yesterday we were driving on our way to Richland, Wa. We were on the icy highway 84 when suddenly we hit a hydroplane on ice and our van suddenly lost control. we did a few swerves and smashed into the center divide, followed by a 360, where at one point we see semi's and many other vehicles coming straight at us, then we smash into the right guard rail where our vehicle comes to a stop. first thing first, we made sure everyone was alright. there was pretty bad damage to our van and our trailer was pretty much beaten the eff out of. luckily pretty much all of our equipment survived. we sat in the cold for 5 and a half hours waiting to get picked up. things could have ended ALOT worse so in a way im still thankful. now we are in a hotel getting ready to check out whats up with our van. hopefully we'll be home soon but we'll see. wish to see some of you soon. |

Moneen have formally announced plans to enter the recording studio. The band will be tracking in January with producer David Bottrill (Tool, Silverchair, AFI) for an early summer release on Vagrant.
Their last studio album was 2006's The Red Tree, while they released the It All Started With A Red Stripe DVD earlier this year. |

Alesana's rather extensive headlining tour for March 2009 and beyond has been announced. They'll be joined by Drop Dead, Gorgeous, Fear Before, I Set My Friends On Fire and With Grace We Fall.
Alesana continues to support this 2008's Where Myth Fades To Legend on Fearless. Drop Dead, Gorgeous issued Worse Than A Fairytale in 2007 on Suretone/Rise, with the followup slated for a spring 2009 release. Fear Before recently released the first album under their new name, a self-titled venture on Equal Vision. Dear And The Headlights have announced a headlining tour for February and March 2009. They'll be taking out mates of state Miniature Tigers, while Reubens Accomplice will hop on select, as-yet-unspecified dates.
DATH will be supporting this year's Drunk Like Bible Times on Equal Vision. Reubens Accomplice is currently recording a long-awaited followup to 2004's The Bull, The Baloon, And The Family on Western Tread and will be supporting Jimmy Eat World on that band's Clarity X 10 Tour. Fuse TV music show Steven's Untitled Rock Show has been canceled, according to a Twitter update sent from the show's official account. The final three episodes of the show will air Dec. 22 through 24.
