THIS IS HELL DRUMMER LEAVES BANDPosted by Brian Shultz on 03-Jan-09 @ 09:59 PM
This Is Hell drummer Dan Bourke has seemingly left the band, according to the band's MySpace page.
That currently leaves the band as a three-piece: original members Travis Reilly on vocals and Rick Jimenez on guitar, as well as Johnny Moore on bass. Guitarist Chris Reynolds left the band earlier this year as well. With a full U.S. tour supporting Funeral For A Friend set to kick off in less than two weeks, maybe they can give Jared Shavelson a call. The band last issued the aptly titled Misfortunes in 2008 on Trustkill.

THE FALL OF TROY WORKING ON NEW RECORD; POSSIBLE SOLO EFFORT FROM FRONTMAN ON THE WAYPosted by Brian Shultz on 03-Jan-09 @ 09:45 PM
The Fall Of Troy have provided an update.
The band is currently at work on their next proper studio album. "It has elements of all of our previous ventures, as well as many new directions we're excited to explore with all of you," they mention. "We feel as if at this time, it's more important to write music that will be around for maybe 5 years instead of 5 minutes." Additionally, vocalist/guitarist Thomas Erak "has begun what may become some form of a solo record in later '09, but it's still just some songs with a guitar and we'll see where they end up." The band recently issued their long-gestating Phantom On The Horizon project on Equal Vision. The limited CD pressing sold out quickly, but thankfully for fans, digital copies are infinite. |
