DJ AM's estate settles lawsuit over plane crash

The $20 million lawsuit filed by the late Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein over his 2008 plane crash has been settled for an undisclosed amount. Goldstein filed the suit after the crash that killed everyone on board a Learjet except himself and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. Goldstein died this past August of an accidental overdose, prompting his mother to add a wrongful death claim to the suit, likely claiming that the plane crash led to Goldstein's eventual relapse into drug use.

Barker settled a similar lawsuit last month.

Pete Wentz hits back (verbally) at Perez Hilton

After celebrity gossip monger Perez Hilton recently posted photos of Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz carrying his son, Bronx, Wentz has taken to his own site to strike back. In Hilton's original brief, he posted two photos of Wentz carrying his crying 1-year-old along with the text: "Did little Bronx Mowgli just realize his dad is douchey Pete Wentz?! The father-son duo were spotted taking a walk around the streets of New York. Poor baby! We'd be crying, too!"

Earlier today, Wentz posted a reply on his own site: "i dont care what you say about me or really anyone one else. but dont talk about my kid. the love i have for him is something that will make me go against all odds. yes guess what a one year old cries when he leaves the park. but he is not as bloated or mean spirited as you a 30 yearold former closeted bully. say it again. slip up one time. it wont be on the internet. i will make you less than what you are. i will break you and you wont know its me. this is physical. mental. and spiritual. i have an on/off switch for animals that will make you beg for the chance to say youre sorry. you will not get near my son."

Piebald to reissue out-of-print material through Rise Records, reuniting at Bamboozle

According to their MySpace blog, Piebald are partnering up with Rise Records to reissue their out-of-print back catalog.

The influential emo act will be compiling all of their full-lengths, EP's and B-sides across a series of three two-disc volumes, collectively dubbed Piebald: The First Ten Years.

The first volume is slated for release in mid-April; the second and third volumes are set to come out in May and June.

The band last released Accidental Gentleman on Side One Dummy in 2007 before breaking up the following year. They will be reuniting at Bamboozle on May 2, promising to play their 2002 classic We Are The Only Friends That We Have in its entirety.

Jay Reatard's death a homicide?

According to a report by a local news affiliate, police in Memphis are now investigating the death of garage-punk singer Jay Reatard as a homicide. Reatard was found by police at 3:30 a.m. yesterday morning. Authorities are now reportedly looking for a suspect and offering a reward of up to $1,000 for leads. Tips can be submitted here.

Blink-182 release T-shirt for Haiti earthquake relief
