AVA, the Aquabats, more to play Bamboozle

A batch of bands has been revealed as playing this spring's Bamboozle music festival, which takes place May 1 and 2 in East Rutherford, NJ. These bands join already announced headliners Paramore and Weezer, and more bands have yet to be revealed. Single-day tickets go on sale today at noon. Two-day, three-day and VIP tickets are available now.

From First To Last are now streaming a new song titled "Going Lohan" on their official Myspace. The track is lifted from the band's forthcoming Rise Records debut, Throne to the Wolves.

Throne to the Wolves, FFTL's fifth studio album, is expected to be in stores Spring 2010. Until then, you can catch the post-hardcore quartet on tour with Alesana, Asking Alexandria, and Word Alive.

Activision files countersuit against No Doubt over Band Hero

Activision, the maker of music video game Band Hero, has filed a countersuit against No Doubt in response to the band's lawsuit. Last month, the band filed suit against Activision over the use of No Doubt members' likenesses being playable avatars for other bands' songs. We covered the incident in a web-exclusive cover story on Nov. 16.

Now Activision are returning the favor with a lawsuit of their own against No Doubt, citing breach of contract and unjust enrichment. The company made the following statement: "Activision admits that although it is possible to program a videogame whereby particular in-game characters can only be selected when certain songs are played, Plaintiff first requested this only after the Band Hero programming was finalized, had been submitted to all of the U.S. console manufacturers for approval and had been approved for manufacture by most console manufacturers..."

Activision is suing for unspecified damages along with a return of all of No Doubt's benefits and payments stemming from the game.
