The Maine post free Valentine's Day cover

The Maine have posted a free download of a cover song especially for Valentine's Day. Vocalist John O'Callaghan and guitarist Jared Monaco recorded their own version of Matt Duke's "Rabbit." O'Callaghan wrote on the band's homepage: "It was late, and we were tired, but we thought we'd put it up anyways. Download it if you enjoy it."

The Young Veins--the new band of former Panic At The Disco members Ryan Ross and Jon Walker--have revealed dates for a spring tour with Foxy Shazam and Bad Rabbits. Young Veins are expected to release their debut full-length, Take A Vacation, around the time of the tour. Check out dates below.

Warped Tour Kick Off Party Announced

This year's edition of the annual Vans Warped Tour kick-off party will take place April 9th at the Key Club in West Hollywood. Confirmed artists for the event include Pierce the Veil, Andrew WK, The Darlings, The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band, The Pretty Reckless, and the Grind Time Now Emcee Battle hosted by Rollin Rockers. Tickets for the show can be found here.

In addition to the kick-off party announcement, a number of artists were just added to the tour, including Streetlight Manifesto from 7/23-7/26, The Impalers on 6/26, Voodoo Glow Skulls on 6/27, and Monkey from 6/24-6/27.

In Memoriam: Prominent Chicago punk recording engineer Iain Burgess

Reports are surfacing online that famed recording engineer Iain Burgess died earlier today in France after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

A native of Weymouth, U.K., Burgess was a central figure in the Chicago punk movement of the '80s and early '90s, producing or engineering albums by Naked Raygun, Big Black, Pegboy and many more. Burgess pioneered the "live-centered" recording approach of that scene's sound and he worked closely with producer Steve Albini and Chicago's Electrical Audio Studio.

A post on the Electrical Audio message board reads: "If there is a 'Chicago sound,' its foremost recording engineer died today. Iain Burgess, Weymouth, UK native and proponent of the 'huge bigness' live-centered recording approach found on important rock records throughout the 80s and 90s reportedly passed away today in France. He had been recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Iain was a great and generous guy and had a hell of an ear. Raise a glass (or several) for him."

In recent years, Burgess lived in France where he owned and operated a recording studio called Black Box. We offer our deepest condolences to family, friends and fans of Burgess.

All Time Low song from Almost Alice streaming online

All Time Low's contribution to the Almost Alice soundtrack, "Painting Flowers," has made its way online. The soundtrack is a companion to Tim Burton's upcoming film, Alice In Wonderland.
